    Jesse Weinberg is the Executive Product Head of business transactional bank accounts at FNB. He joined the bank in 2010 to launch PayPal as a business product offering to the South African market. Since then he has enjoyed various transactional banking roles within FNB, including the redesign and implementation of the eBucks for Business Programme in 2012. Prior to joining FNB, Jesse had jointly founded and managed two successful businesses in the IT and plant hire industries, one of which was later acquired by a listed telecoms company at the time. Jesse is a passionate outdoorsman and conservationist, and never misses the opportunity to head out into the bush for the weekend. Jesse holds a Bachelor of Commerce with specialisations in informatics, business management and information systems.

    Heather has been in banking for 20 years, covering various roles through the branch network, within retail banking and business banking. She spent 7 years in a new business development role within the mid corporate commercial market and received 7 incentive awards over the 7 years she was there, and accumulated a robust understanding of all transactional and credit products. Heather was then approached to start up the Enterprise Development business unit within FNB Business. Heather was responsible for the conceptualisation and establishment of the Vumela Enterprise Development Fund, the first of its kind in the market. The Vumela Enterprise Development Fund is an early stage equity fund to assist growth in the SME sector and subsequent job creation. Heather and her team won an Innovation Award for their work in Vumela. Vumela is capitalised by FirstRand, and Heather continues to manage the fund (which now has committed capital of close to R400m). Heather was selected as 1 of 30 women from all the banking groups nationally in SA to participate in the first Bankseta Womens’ Development Programme and holds a Diploma in Technology and Innovation from the Da Vinci Institute. Heather also assists with other pure FNB SME related initiatives outside of Vumela in her role as Head of Enterprise Development.

    My career spends to date around 33 years of service to FNB and has worked from Branch banking through corporate banking and has spent considerable time in Trade and FX environment. I also later joined the commercial Bank where I was seconded to the UK for Trade finance and later headed up the Trade department. I spent time in KZN as the regional head and was seconded to India for 4 years. I was recently appointed as the head of Trade and Structured Trade and Commodity finance.     Zaid Sali-Ameen is currently a Product Head in FNB Business Value Adds. He manages a team that develops solutions that assist entrepreneurs when starting, growing and managing businesses in South Africa. His core responsibility is managing and facilitating digital platforms that allow businesses to operate within the legal parameters set out for business in South Africa. These platforms solve for the following: • Enabling company registrations via CIPC • Determining a company’s BEE Scorecards as well as scenario planning • Enabling a company to become compliant with SARS Zaid currently holds an MBA from the UCT Graduate School of Business, a PDBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science and a BSc (Software Eng and Info System Honours) from UNISA.
